Listed on the Registry of Historic places, this picturesque town settlement offers historic buildings built around the Village Green where animals once grazed. A huge beloved oak tree, the Bedford Oak, is said to be over 500 years old and stands as a symbol of Bedford’s strength. Equestrians and nature lovers alike appreciate the many trails for riding and hiking. The town offers a De Cicco’s grocery store as well as a unique organic farm store, John Boys Outpost. There are several good restaurants including The Barn at the Bedford Post Inn. The Clive Davis Art Center and Playhouse offers the latest movies, intimate movie screenings and special events.
